Add a surcharge or apply a discount to any appointment before you charge the client — for example if the session ran long, or you want to give a goodwill reduction.
When to use this
- Client asked for an extra 15 minutes — add a surcharge for the additional time
- Session was cut short — apply a discount to reflect what was delivered
- Goodwill gesture for a regular client
- Correcting a service price that doesn't match what was agreed
How to adjust the price
- Open the appointment from your calendar or appointments list
- Click Adjust price in the appointment panel (only shown on uncharged appointments)
- Select Add charge or Apply discount
- Enter the amount in pounds (e.g. 10 for £10)
- Optionally add a note — this is shown in the charge confirmation for your reference
- Click Save
What you see before charging
When you click to charge the client, the confirmation shows a full breakdown:
- Service — the original service price
- Adjustment — the surcharge (positive) or discount (negative) with your note
- Total — what the client will be charged
For back-to-back (grouped) appointments, each service price is adjusted individually and the total reflects all adjustments.
Adjustments and deposits
If a deposit was collected at booking, the adjustment is applied to the service total first, then the deposit is subtracted to give the remainder. You're never charged for more than the adjusted balance.
