How Helen brought her mobile and clinic work into one calendar

Helen offers massage and assisted stretching across Radcliffe, Bury and the wider Greater Manchester area, both in clinic and as a mobile therapist. Before MassageHub, that meant two of everything.

“Before MassageHub I was using another app, Setmore, the basic free version. It worked fine, but was a little limiting as it isn’t just for therapists. One thing that’s better is that the calendar can accommodate both mobile work and in clinic. Previously I had to have two calendars, which was cumbersome.”

What made her give it a try

“I saw MassageHub on Instagram (I think) and liked the sound of it: the fact that it was designed by a therapist specifically for freelance therapists, and seemed to offer everything I would need in one place. I also prefer to support a small British company rather than a larger American organisation. It took me a little while to think about it, but once I decided to go for it, it was not difficult to set up or use.”

Money in the bank, and no no-shows

Helen now offers memberships and packages alongside single sessions, and sells gift vouchers too.

“Some clients now have a membership or a package, which benefits them by being a bit cheaper, and benefits me in knowing I have that income coming in each month, or several treatments paid for in advance. I now ask for payment in advance and have had no no-shows.”

The hassle it saves

“I like having all the client information and the intake form available to view, and the automated request for reviews saves me the hassle of asking them personally.”

Her advice to other therapists

“Try it. It’s easy to use, and it costs nothing to try it or to have the free version. I now pay for extra features like the memberships and gift vouchers, but it’s worth it to have everything I need in one app.

I really like that Paul responds to any queries, in person, very quickly (no bots). He takes on board any suggestions for improvement or specific requirements, and he acts on any issues or bugs that we discover along the way, keeping us updated as he works. It has so many features and integrations that we therapists find useful. So to have a system that is designed for us, I’d say why go anywhere else?”
